Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires Columns
I was in the area and this amazing building kept my attention so I decided to stop and take a pic...
If I dont tell you this is the cathedral of BA probably you wont figure it out, right? The actual looks of this beautiful neo classic building is the result of many reconstructions of course. I was thinking that this kind of building makes Buenos Aires looks like any other european city but as we know, PEOPLE also makes cities and Buenos Aires is UNIQUE. The building has 12 corintians columns and like every classical building every little detail has a meaning. So why 12 columns? Well, dont forget this is a Catholic building.
I wont recommend you to stay in San Nicolás Neighborhood because during the day is crazy and at night nobody is there but this historical area is surrounded by 4 great neighborhoods wich are great options for renting an apartment and enjoy the city: the bohemian San Telmo, the traditional Plaza San Martin, Downtown for shorts term and fancy Puerto Madero...

Charming WET Buenos Aires ...
I love to observe how everything change from 1 minute to another...Just sitting outside in a corner at some bar in Belgrano Neighborhood having a cold and typical argentinian beer...
The begining of February brought the rain and many streets of BA were flooded...even though I still recommend Belgrano and Nuñez as fantastic areas to look for temporary rentals and live in...Well connected to the rest of the city, close to avenues, stores, banks, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, buses and the green line subway...

What historical building of BA was cut off to open 2 avenues?
In order to open Avenida de Mayo and Diagonal Norte the CABILDO of Buenos Aires today looks like the original construction but a little bit smaller...
If you feel like visit Buenos Aires you could rent a flat from Andrea´s Style and prepare yourself to enjoy the city and why dont you take a few hours to go to Bolivar 65 street and check this historical building out!
You must know that currently, the building operates the National History Museum of the Cabildo of Buenos Aires and the Revolution of May, open Tuesday to Friday from 10.30 to 17.00 and Sundays from 11:30 to 18:00 Hrs

Buenos Aires Summer Night Life!
Saturday night was hot and a very quiet night in BA. Summer time, half of the people is on vacations...Althought if you decided to come to BA at this time of the year, you should rent a flat and discover that you can always find cool places to go and have fun!That little area at Reconquista pedestrian street is an excellent choice to go out, listen at some good music, eat some irish dish and have a drink!
The kilkenny is the queen of the bars where you can enjoy alive music.Happy hour and after office during the aweek after 8p.
Across the street, Puerto Pirata... loud music and large music video screen, perfect to go with a group of friends.
Downtown Mathias, from 1973, good menu and has an exclusive service of Whisky Club and Wine Bar.
Druid in: small place where you can listen at some alive music but the interesting thing about it is their collection of 20 different kind of beers and most of a 100 different kind of whiskies.
Deep Blue: for the youngest public, it has an entertainment area of games like pool.
Bohemian Bar: friendly place, it has karaoke some nights.

Why dont you stay in Plaza San Martin neighborhood?
You can rent a flat for 1 week or months from Andrea´s Style and stay at Plaza San Martin in Retiro!
I really like this neighborhood for 4 good reasons:
1 Centrally located: Walking distance to Recoleta, Puerto Madero, Retiro and Downtown. Subway and buses to the rest of the city.
2 Shopping: Famous Florida street, Galerías Pacífico Mall, fine leather stores and jewerly stores
3 Traditional Architecture: Kavanagh Building, San Martin Palace and Militar Circle
4 Nighlife: you have a few "pedestrian streets" on Reconquista where many Irish pubs are...

Taxi Taxi Taxi!
Taxis in Buenos Aires are Black and Yellow...
If you are on the street then my recommedation always is to grab those who belong to companies...You can recognize Radio taxis because their cars have a visible Company name and telephone number on the passenger doors. If you have time call a cab to your home...(except rainny days...better to catch one on the street)
Their rate during the day time is: pesos7.30 + trip and after 10pm: pesos8.70 + trip

Puerto Madero is the safest neighborhood in Buenos Aires!
The newest and safest neighborhood in Buenos Aires is Puerto Madero next to the river,close to everything and with a large list of options to visit and check out. Tourist must go, pick a restaurant of the many around to have a fancy dinner (90% of the restaurants in there are expensive but worth it), grab an icecream, stop by "Spell caffe" for a cold beer or just enjoy the view of the city and take a nice walk.

How to get to know Buenos Aires better?
Subways in Buenos Aires dont have AC !
You are feeling great, confortable and fresh at your fantastic temporary rental apartment with AC you had rent from andreasstylebarentals...but when you go out to visit the city...you will find out that on this days streets of Buenos Aires are Super HOT!
Summer time and not that much people around but even the subways dont have any AC they take you fast from Belgrano to the cathedral of BA!

Are you coming to Buenos Aires? Planning to rent an apartment? How will you proceed next?
You have a million agencies that rent temporary apartments to foreigners. But who are you going to trust with your business? And be warned, there are plenty of unscrupulous agencies out there that love to take advantage of tourists dollars.
I have been renting apartments to foreigners for 5 years, and after many clients with very positive stays, I know how to help you!
The following is a guide of how things work and a few things to watch out for in the world of renting in Buenos Aires!
When renting apartments you have 2 different directions to take, depending on the length of your stay.
1. Short term: If you are coming for a short stay, the best option is to book an apartment online.
2. Long term: My recommendation is to book something short term online (I recommend the first month since the rent is a better deal than weekly and a month gives you time to get to know the city and it’s neighbourhoods). During this time you will be able to go VISIT the apartments you are interested in. Many times people experience that what they see online is not quite the reality of the apartment (Be careful). The only negative part to this is that anything you find ahead of time online, may no longer be available when you arrive.Our clients find there are always plenty of options as I manage over 100 apartments personally and also work with 4 trusted agencies. So I can always find a great option for you!
When you arrive at the airport, you can get a taxi and I will meet you at the apartment to check you in. I watch the flights for your arrival so if you are delayed, I are aware, and I at the apartment at the correct time to meet you.
It is important to reserve the apartment you like as soon as you find it and can see yourself living there! WHY? Because if you take a few days to think it over... it may be too late (it happens ALL the time, especially with really good apartments or good deals, because the other people looking at it are saying the same). The reservation will be between 10% or 30% of the rental depending on the length of your stay and price of the apartment (owners need assurance that they will make something since they are turning down others once you have committed). This reservation fee will be put toward the total amount due on check in. It is NOT an extra fee.
Check in: You will sign a contract and receive the keys to the apartment (this day is arranged between you and me). You will need to pay in CASH! This is a unique part of South America (especially Argentina).
BE AWARE: it does not matter the amount of money in your bank account, getting money from ATMs in BA is not easy. Many times there are ridiculously low limits (from $500 PESOS per day). The ATMs give pesos only (despite the option on their menus for Dollars). If you are planning on moving tomorrow, it may not be possible. Most Owners will not allow you to move in unless the full amount owed at check-in is paid.
A few suggestions for handling this:
- Bring Your home currency (Dollars or Euros are the easiest to change) to put down for your initial rent and deposit. This is excellent for the deposit especially since you will be getting the same currency back upon check out.
- Prepare in advance. You can take out your limit for the needed number of days before your check in (Example: you need 3000 pesos and your limit is 500. Go to the ATM each day for 6 days in a row and get 500 each day). Leave yourself a few extra days just in case, remember you also need money to live on and eat with J!
- Many times you have a limit (suchas $500 pesos), but you are able to put your card right back in the machine and draw again. Usually this is capped and you can only do it 3 times, but better than once.
- Most owners prefer that the rent is paid in Dollars.
To check in, you normally need: 1-2 months of rent in advance, 1 month for the deposit (for both of these it depends on the length of stay and the apartment), and $200 Admin fee (a one time fee; amount depends on the agency)
Deposit: The deposit is refundable on your check out from the apartment. Be sure that everything is in good working condition when you leave. If a glass was broken or something small, be sure to let the owner know (that is normally part of renting an apartment and understandable). However if there is something major that is wrong with the apartment (something major is broken; window, TV, etc.) be prepared for it to come from your deposit. If you return the apartment as you came into it, you should expect your deposit back.
Many times the price will include maid service (usually once a week for a few hours; they cover the basics depending on the apartment). This service can be adjusted with the cleaner themselves (and extra paid directly to the cleaner) if you need more (washing, shopping, etc.).
Check out: For the check outs I always have the owner there as well as myself to go through the inventory. We are always at the check out to act as an intermediate between you and the owner, always helping my clients to receive their full deposit.

Cuando tu estadía supere la semana lo más conveniente es alojarte en un departamento de carácter temporal, se alquilan con anticipación y se encuentran totalmente equipados
